Tasko Privacy Policy

Tasko helps you organise tasks, projects, reminders and focus sessions across your devices. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data and the app contains no ads.

Data we collect

• Account information — your email address, display name and profile picture (if you sign in with Google). Used only to identify you and keep your data in sync.
• Content you create — tasks, projects, notes, tags, reminders, focus-timer sessions, workspaces you share, and files you attach to tasks.
• Settings — preferences such as language, theme and reminder options.
• Device token for notifications — so reminders and workspace updates can reach your device.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos (other than files you choose to attach), advertising identifiers, or payment information.

How your data is used

• To store your tasks and sync them between your devices.
• To share tasks with people you invite to a workspace.
• To deliver reminders and notifications you set up.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on your device and in Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage and Cloud Messaging), operated by Google LLC. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest by Google. Access is restricted by security rules so only you and the members of workspaces you share can read your data.

Importing from other apps

If you choose to import from Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do or Todoist, the app requests read-only access, copies your tasks once, and does not keep the access token. With Google sign-in we never post to or read your other Google data.

Calendar feed links

If you turn on calendar sync, Tasko creates a private link that shows your dated tasks. Anyone with this link can see those tasks. You can turn it off or reset the link at any time in Settings.

Sharing

We share your data only with the service providers above that run the app (Google Firebase), with people you invite to your workspaces, or when required by law.

Data retention

Your data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account and personal data are removed from our servers. Data on your device is removed when you delete your account, use "Clear this device", or uninstall the app.

Delete your account

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:

1. Open Tasko and go to Settings.
2. Scroll to Privacy.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.

This permanently removes your account, tasks, projects, attachments and settings. If you can no longer open the app, contact us using the developer email on the Google Play listing and we will delete your account within 30 days.

Children

Tasko is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
